Mr. Mclelland co-founded Proactive in 2006 from his spare bedroom in England after starting a blog on his own investments. After 12 months of blogging and researching how companies communicated with investors, he identified a gaping hole in how companies were tackling the shrinking coverage of financial news in the mainstream media and newspaper industry. Since then, Mr. Mclelland has guided Proactive’s expansion into the United States, Canada and Australia to present day, where Proactive has 6 offices in 4 countries with 1700 clients supported by 100 staff.

Mr. Mclelland led a Series A round with a U.K. based venture capital fund in 2018 which funded a ground up investment in people, process and products, resulting in approximately 300% growth in top line bookings. In 2020, Mr. Mclelland secured $6 million of debt from a Tier 1 Canadian Bank, completed a Series B equity round lead by a Toronto based fund, negotiated a Series C investment and Strategic Alliance Agreement and negotiated the acquisition of Adnet. Mr. Mclelland often comments that he is just getting started.

Mr. Mclelland has Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology from Trent University and in Business Development from Bournemouth University. He also completed the following qualifications: Commodities and Derivatives, and the Directors, Partners and Officers (PDO) exam, Canadian Securities Course (CSC 1&2) and Accountancy of the Canadian Securities Institute. He has held the SMF 3 (executive director) with the FCA (UK) since 2013. He obtained his Australian Securities Financial Licence in 2017.

Website maintenance is an interesting niche job: not quite a full developer or designer, but in the sweet spot between the two. It’s a lot like being a mechanic, only working on websites instead of cars. I’ve enjoyed my 20+ years within the Adnet updates team. It’s been interesting and fun adapting to the changing internet landscape and website tools in the pursuit of making our clients happy with the final results on their websites.

With 15 year of customer services experience, I enjoy interacting with our clients and always there to help them. My duties include managing the Vancouver office, monthly invoicing, sales contracts, domain renewals, setting up emails, answering phones for both Proactive & Adnet, & helping the entire Adnet team wherever the help is needed. Also enjoy helping Head office with reconciling client payments.

Hi, I’m Jake – a British expat living in Vancouver, Canada, and I build websites. Prior to joining the team, I had a freelance background in bespoke web design and development, as well as graphic design, brand development and management, and content management and email marketing.

If I’m not working, I’m likely to be found playing guitar or making electronica on a drum machine. I also like to get out and enjoy the beautiful nature around Vancouver, cycling, swimming, and skateboarding – though my knees can’t take it like they used to.

Hello, I’m Adam, a Senior Website Updater at Adnet Communications. I have been with the Company for over a decade in their remote office in Nova Scotia, Canada. I have almost 15 years of experience in the web site building space and several years of experience working with domain name registrars. Customer service as always been a passion and it’s my pleasure to assist our clients however I can.

My name is Greg and I am a Senior Updates Specialist with Adnet Communications. I have been with the company for 7 years and bring a diverse skillset from technology related fields. Past roles include ThinkPad support at IBM, network setup and maintenance, data analysis and graphic design. I also have experience with 2D/3D AutoCAD, architectural drafting and CNC programming/operation in wood and metal manufacturing sectors. I am particularly focused on details and enjoy helping clients achieve their goals.

Outside of work I enjoy gardening, history, collecting and restoring antique furniture, playing piano and building museum quality scale buildings and furniture.

After a long career in radio broadcasting I made the career switch to web development in 2008.

I joined Adnet in 2010 as a member of the updates team, then moving to project management, and now full time Web Development. I love this job as it involves creativity, critical thinking, and a willingness to always learn something new all the time..

I live in British Columbia’s beautiful Okanagan region, with my wife, daughter, 2 big dogs and one cat, who rules us all. I love getting outside to one of our many lakes in the area or up to the local mountain to ski or hike.

Born in northern Alberta, I moved as far away from trees, critters, and cold as possible while still staying in the province. I joined Adnet Communications after a 15-year stint in the education system. My first love has always been tech, so I’m thrilled to be in the perfect career field finally.

When I’m not on a computer, I like to spend time with my family, renovate/fix/redo/update things around my house, and travel.

I work with clients in updating websites, setting up email blasts and providing email support. After spending nearly 20 years in the radio broadcasting industry in a variety of roles, I am able to communicate with our clients to provide the service they need.

Born in Ontario, my partner and I relocated to the best coast, the West Coast, in 2012. When I’m not at the office, I can be found in my “summer office” at Nat Bailey Stadium as a seasonal employee of the Vancouver Canadians baseball club, affiliated with my favourite major league team, the Toronto Blue Jays.

We’re not entirely sure what Bob does here but he showed up one day and it’s kinda nice to have around.

Raymond Chen is a full-stack WordPress developer with a focus on frontend development. He designs and customizes WordPress themes, enhances existing ones, and works closely with graphic designers, project managers, and marketers to ensure cohesive project execution. Raymond also handles website support and maintenance for clients. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, his strong technical expertise and dedication make him a reliable asset in delivering seamless web solutions and superior client care.

I bring more than 18 years of industry experience starting at Hemscott Group where I worked from 2004 to 2008 and where I began as a web developer before progressing to project manager, and then Head of Web Development. I also spent time working for Morningstar IR and Investis, the latter at which I spent 7 years, working both in their London and New York offices as a Senior Consultant and then Director of UX and Design respectively.

Outside of work I love everything to do with music – listening and making – as well as anything creative such as film, tv, art and books. Long walks and even longer bike rides are also a must.

After selling the company, and having a small break to hang out with a super cool kid, I joined the acquiring company in a PM capacity. Now within the fantastic team at BrighterIR, helping guide projects to completion.

Hello, my name is Fred, I’m based in the South West of the UK, in Cornwall. After a few years of working for local agencies and some time as a freelance web developer, I found my calling with Brighter IR where I get to work with some really beautiful designs to turn them into fully functioning websites. My favourite part of building websites is adding subtle animations and interactions, aiming to create a great experience for all visitors.

I like to keep a nice contrast between tech and nature in my life, so when I’m not in front of the computer you can usually find me in the ocean either surfing, swimming or fishing.

Hello there, I am William and I am proud to be Brighter IR’s first and only Glaswegian! Working from sunny Scotland as a Web Developer I am responsible for building websites and taking on client support requests.

Outside of work you’ll find me with my eyes glued to my iPad doing some kind of digital art, watching my favourite football team (Celtic) or any other football for that matter, spending time with my partner and son or gaming away on the PS5.

Based in Norwich, I joined the Brighter IR team after freelancing for nearly 10 years developing WordPress websites and plug-ins. I’m grateful for the opportunity to turn our great looking designs into fully-functional, responsive WordPress websites.

Outside of work I’m normally found in the water, on a bike or in a pair of running shoes. I will happily bore anyone willing to listen about my adventures in triathlon. So far I have nine Ironman distance triathlons and several marathons under my belt and am perpetually training for or recovering from some form of long distance endurance race.

Marlin joined IRM in 2017 to proactively look after clients and help them solve any business or technical challenges as a Client Relations Executive, and was appointed Client Relations Director in May 2021.

She is a highly-skilled professional with extensive experience undertaking a diverse range of roles within the Business and Financial services industry. Prior to working with IRM, she spent three years as a Project Manager delivering regulatory and efficiency software enhancements for Listed and Unlisted companies. This experience honed her skills in developing new technology with the forethought of the best User Experience in mind. The previous ten years were focused on providing administration services where she headed an Investor Services Admin team. Marlin loves building long term relationship with clients and helping them achieve their goals.

Prima Patrianto MBIS was appointed Client Services Director at IRM in May 2021, responsible for all aspects of the delivery of IRM services to clients. Over the previous seven years with IRM he was a developer, senior developer and manager.

He has over 15 years’ experience in management, client services and IT industries. His technical expertise, client relations background and knowledge around digital products equip him well for his current role, including strategic product direction, project coordination and supervision of solution delivery, and support operations. His goal is to further the company’s objectives of continuously enhancing the client experience.

Matt has over 20 years of corporate design experience and has worked with a diverse range of clients from local businesses to international companies.

He has honed his design skills across three continents and his experience extends across annual reports, bidder and target statements, prospectuses, websites, newsletters, corporate identities, corporate communications and advertisements. Matt is well organised, disciplined and used to working in a fast and accurate manner. He has a keen eye for detail and possesses in-depth knowledge and understanding of investor communication for print and online media.

Ruchelle joined the IRM team in 2021 as our Client Relations Executive based in Brisbane. She brings over 20 years of experience in both the private and public sector ranging from her own businesses to multinational and defence partners.

She is skilled in discovering client requirements and energetic about devising and activating strategic plans targeted at satisfaction improvements and results. She thrives on strong client relationships bringing a fresh view to investor communications.

Paul joined IRM in 2021 as a Client Relations Executive. He has over 20 years’ experience in Business Development Management and Client Relations roles in the UK and Australia.

Paul has returned to the investment sector having previously worked for Australia’s leading resource investment publication RESOURCESTOCKS Magazine and launching many investor roadshows and events across Australia. Paul understands the investor journey and excels in helping clients promote their companies to the investment market.

Luke has more than 12 years in the IT industry, with the last ten years specialising in web development.

His main skills include HTML, CSS, JQuery and WordPress. Luke joined IRM in August 2011. He is IRM’s subject matter expert in most matters relating to HQi and IRM Newsroom. Previous experience includes ABC, IBM and Shaw Stockbroking.

John Zhen MCS has extensive experience in website and database development, primarily using Dot.Net and SQL.

He has worked for various organisations in both the public and private sector and has been IRM’s senior developer since 2013, and has been responsible for many of the initiatives and new releases of HQi. Since graduating with a Master’s degree in Computer Science, John has taken part in many projects, involved in all stages of the development cycle.

Jeffrey Mante MBIS began working for IRM as a remote web developer in 2015. He has substantial work experience in Australia and the Philippines with IT companies prior to working remotely with IRM.

He has more than 12 years of expertise in the IT sector, specifically in web design, front end development and PHP programming. Jeff thinks that creating websites is a never-ending learning process. “You wink just once and the website is outdated. Therefore, taking an active stance in learning is essential.” Hobbies include participating in discord communities, doing long drives and occasional banter.

Ethel joined IRM in 2017 and has over 13 years of experience in customer support and the IT industry. She previously worked as an IT Service Desk Lead, managing a team of IT professionals who provide support for IT systems and business applications. Ethel’s job as a project manager is to oversee the entire project life cycle for IRM clients, from planning and implementation to delivery and project closure.

Ethel possesses strong communication and organizational abilities, which she believes are essential for her role as a Project Manager.

Sunchine has worked in the IT industry for more than 10 years, gaining experience in system development management, email marketing campaign, and website development. She previously held the role as a Support Manager for an Australian software company.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and is now a full time Project Manager at IRM. She is also a certified member of Project Management Institute and is passionate about implementing a project management methodologies.

In addition to her primary job function, she is also involved in ground rules and motivating team throughout a project.

With over 8 years of demonstrated experience as a Web Developer, Project Coordinator, and Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, Regine has been working with IRM for more than a year in the role of Client Support. For her, these are only a few of the fundamentals of providing client support.

Jake is a web developer at IRM. He began working with us in 2018 as a virtual support staff.

He has more than 8 years of experience in the IT sector, the last two years of which he focused on web development. His primary competencies include WordPress, HTML, and CSS. He is IRM’s go-to source for information on the majority of topics pertaining to HQi and IRM Newsroom. He worked as a freelance web developer, administrator, and support before joining IRM. In 2020, he was promoted to his current position and was able to increase his understanding of web development.

Kenneth is a Web Developer at IRM. He joined the company in 2021 and has 8 years of full-stack web development experience. Outside of work, he enjoys trekking and discovering the mountain scenery. And he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends.

Romeo is one of our client support with over ten years of technical experience. With a background in web development, SEO, marketing, and video editing. He understands the needs of clients from all walks of life and excellent at taking care of clients. Joined IRM in 2021, he motivates himself to learn more to serve clients better. Learning is a part of growth that will help us change the world for the better.

Janina has been assisting clients with technical needs for IRM for the past three months. She has experience working with several CMS and has a background in front-end programming.

Outside of work, she likes to play with her dogs, Kiwi, Cookie, and Cream. She enjoys traveling, baking, playing video games, and crocheting.

Kim began working with IRM in 2021 as a web designer. Prior to IRM, she worked as a graphic designer for 7 years. She just completed a UX course which she is now expanding her skills.

Jess joined IRM in 2022 assisting the Art Director with content materials. Prior to joining the team, she worked as a social manager for an established hotel and restaurant brand in the Philippines and continues to work as a graphic designer that focuses both in print and online content creation.

Megan has been working and assisting clients for 14 years. She is one of our Client Services Administrators currently assisting one of our Directors and two of our Relationship Managers.

She is professional with everything she does, and passionate with her work. Prior to IRM she has been a part of different industries such as credit repair, debt collection, and eventually walked her way up to be Paralegal in two Australian legal firms. Megan is excellent in interpersonal skills, demonstrated by communicating with clients, colleagues, and non-technical professionals on a daily basis which is essential to her current position. Out of work, she likes to do diamond painting, and spending quality time with her family.

Jojo became part of the IRM team in 2017 as a marketing assistant. Her work involves creating corporate blog posts, delivering marketing collaterals, and enhancing customer engagement through digital content.

As an experienced communications specialist, her previous roles include writing business news for the U.S. financial services industry and producing various content for corporate communications. In her downtime, she loves travelling as well as going on food trips with her family and friends.
